Post Doc Fellowship Programme

  • ELIGIBILITY

    Candidate holds a Ph.D degree and is interested in pursuing a research career for the Post-Doctoral Fellowship programme funded by State/ National/ International agencies. The candidates may approach the concerned Professor directly.  

  • SELECTION

    1. The Professor (Full/Assoc/ Asst) can decide to support the candidate on a case-by-case basis considering mutual interest in the area of research and type of fellowship programme.
    2. The candidate needs to write a project proposal and the proposal must be approved by the Professor (Full/Assoc/ Asst). The candidate is expected to formulate a project proposal with the consent/help of the PI for submission to the fellowship programme of external /Govt. agencies.
    3. Once the Professor decides to support the candidate’s application, he/she needs to write a request letter to the Managing Director, forwarded by the concerned professor, Coordinator-Academics and Research Director for proceeding with the application process.
    4. The Managing Director may issue the approval letter as per the format of the funding agency.
  • PROGRAM STRUCTURE

    The selected fellow needs to do full time research work to attain the proposed research objectives. 

    Leave:

    Each fellow may be allowed to take a maximum of 30 days of casual leave a year (or as mentioned in the regulations of external funding agencies, as the case may be) besides the holidays prescribed by ACRC, and they are not entitled to claim any other vacations like Onam, Christmas, and Summer, etc. No single period of casual leave shall exceed 15 days including holidays.

    As a part of career advancement, this programme will help young Scientists with excellent track record of publication to take part of semi-independent cutting edge research projects in the area of Cancer and other related subjects.

    Duration may vary from 6 months to 3 years depending on the regulations of funding agency
