Earlier to that I am having 38 years and four months (since 24 Jan 1984) of research experience in the field of nutritional biochemistry and food chemistry in Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL), Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Min. of Defence, Mysore.
  • I am also serving as Consultant/Advisor for more than 15  food industries and outlets in India who   formulate foods, in different forms viz. ready- to -eat/ ready- to- cook / ready-to-drink/  ready- to- reconstitute/nutraceuticals/ functional foods   to cater to the needs of public in Kerala and other states in India. The export quality as per the requirements of foreign countries, the in-house quality as per the Food Safety Standards Authority of India are their necessity. His role involves quality improvement due to technological interventions that would lead to the improved employment opportunities in Kerala and other states in India.
  • I was working in Nutrition and Biochemistry Division at DFRL Mysore. I have developed and evaluated functional foods and nutraceuticals using processed foods, food ingredients and herbals to ameliorate muscular stiffness, motion sickness, hepatotoxicity, anxiety, depression, neurotoxicity, fatigue, hypercholesterolemia, diabetes, ulcer, chemically and physically induced stress in experimental animals. I was taking care of the nutritional characteristics (macro and micronutrients and phytochemicals) of processed food developed in DFRL, Mysore, samples of Armed Supply Corps Centres and also provide analytical support to Indian food industries and there by contribute towards resource generation
  • Instrumental in getting ISO 9001: 2015 and 2000:2018for DFRL renewed as Head, QRS (Quality Reliability and Safety) Group.
